Bangladesh, especially the secular progressive section of the country, is under attack by two extremely brutal Islamic terror organizations, namely Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Islamic State (IS). Both of these organizations belong to the Sunni sect and they adhere to tow different strategies to establish Islamic rule in Bangladesh. For the time being AQIS affiliated group in Bangladesh Ansar Bangla is avoiding the killing of Sunnis and ignoring other minority groups such as the Shites. Would Muslims Support Gay rights?
A few months ago, when I put my profile picture in rainbows, some of my friends were saying, "It is quite funny how people care about other peoples' sex life, while there are so many other problems to think about!" This is exactly where my problem is, there are so many problems to talk about. But instead, why do religious institutions and scriptures spread so much unnecessary hatred based on peoples' bedroom behaviour!?
