Quest for Peace

Political field of Bengal becomes a frying pan in winter;

Taking away the scent of roasted meat, air goes far;

Invaders on aircrafts with appetite come to fuel the fire.

Silver days spread fabulous wings in the sky of eternity,

Horrible nights set out in a plain of solemn serenity,

All helpless hearts pray to God for shelter and humanity.

Yet, hatred smolders in the fireplace of people's blind eyes,

Bloodshed of society is about to snatch this country's sunrise,

Sun strolls from the summer solstice to the winter solstice.

To find out the street of heaven Bengalis desperately approach,

And sanguinely seek you, peace, with bouquets of odorous rose,

Where you grandiosely live, a soul of Mahatma Gandhi knows.

Explanation

Usually, political situation in Bangladesh deteriorates in winter every year. Then it turns to a frying pan, in which as if party followers were roasted. This news spreads outside inspiring imperial powers to increase conflict between parties with instigation. Happy days pass welcoming horrible nights in this plain land. Frightened people pray to God for salvation. But with hatred in minds for one another, blind activists involve themselves in violence that becomes a threat to the country's sovereignty. Bengalis seek the way of peace hopefully and desperately, though they do not know that only Mahatma Gandhi's nonviolence is the best way.
